An Exclusive Interview with Texas Senator Dan Patrick

Source: James Aalan Bernsen, Texas Republic News, 2/9/2009

“We are the cradle now. We’re the last line of conservatism. We need to protect this state, grow our message outside of our borders and reclaim this country.”  Dan Patrick has made a living out of speaking his mind. Thus, there was little doubt when Patrick announced he was running for the Texas Senate that the successful Houston-area talk radio host would become a forceful proponent of his principles…

The Return of American Fascism

Source: www.americanvision.org | Gary DeMar | March 03, 2009

We've been taught that fascism is a foreign-born ideology that spawned the political aspirations of Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler. In reality, fascism has had a long history in America and has been resurrected by people who believe that power guided by good intentions can do no harm. They are ignorant of history and human nature. We don't have to go abroad to find examples of fascism. The political philosophies of presidents Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson are textbook examples of fascism in action.

We’ve been fighting for Employee Free Choice for months.  Together with SEIU, we pressured Burger King to backtrack on their anti-labor position.  We pushed for Hilda Solis, a true progressive champion of the working class, to be confirmed as Labor Secretary.  And all along the way, we’ve dispelled the myths about Employee Free Choice, calling out Fox News, Republicans, and anti-union CEOs like Home Depot’s Bernie Marcus and Wal-Mart’s Lee Scott for distorting what this bill would mean for hardworking Americans.
